PINK EYE AND A DERBY

My eye was hurting Saturday afternoon which is usually a sign for me to take my contacts out and clean them I do this every week either Friday or Saturday nights. They are night day contacts meaning I could leave them in for 30 days and nights but even the eye doctor recommends you take them out every two weeks for a cleaning and to give your eyes a rest. So Saturday night I took them out and put them in their case. My right eye hurt all night, weird! Sunday morning I get up and its so red. To see I have to put my contacts back in. (My glasses broke) So I go to mom and dad's for dinner and mom asks if its pink eye. Ugh I dunno, she looks it up in her medical book and sure enough. So I call my doctor and ask if he can prescribe something and he says cold compresses cause its a virus and they don't give antibiotics for pink eye. Lasts 3 to 4 days and if it doesn't clear up then its probably a bacterial infection. So I keep a cold compress on it and then when I get home I fix my glasses, super glue and a twisty tie, don't ask its all I had and it worked. All day yesterday I wore my glasses.
I have learned two things from pink eye-1. I don't ever want to have it again, it HURTS. 2-I cannot walk in glasses anymore. It throws me off balance I guess. This morning my eye is better so the contacts were put back in.

Oh on Saturday we did go to a soap box derby.
